Our Postal Try Ons take the uncertainty out of online rentals by allowing you to experience your chosen dress in person before the big event. Try it on at home, feel the fabric, and see how it moves — ensuring the fit, style, and comfort are exactly right. It’s the stress-free way to rent with confidence, because when it matters most, every detail should feel effortless.
How it Works
Browse our collection and select the style you’d like to try. Postal Try-Ons are available for most garments so that you can ensure the perfect fit before your event.
When you’re ready to book, simply select the “Postal Try On” option on the product page and book a date between monday-thursday. You’ll receive your chosen dress for a short trial period (1 day) to try in the comfort of your home.

Take time to ensure it fits, and style with accessories to confirm its the one.
Remember to not remove the RMW ribbon tag as if this is removed you will be invoiced for the whole rental cost.
Please return the garment you tried on the very next day before 12pm.
Please remember to include the RMW custom packaging (Cotton bag, Envelope pouch and how it works card).
Please note, if returned after 12pm, you will be charged late fees and every day from then until this has been returned to an NZ post store or our studio.

How long do I get the dress for?
Postal Try-Ons are sent for a short 1-day period to allow you to try the dress at home before your event.
Do I need to clean the dress after trying it on?
No cleaning is required. Simply repackage it in the provided garment bag and return it using the prepaid NZ Post label. Due to the short turn around, we ask you to please avoid wearing makeup, fake tan, deoderant, perfume and anything else that may damage or stain the garment. If you mark the garment you will be liable for any cleaning costs
Can I try more than one dress?
Yes, you can book multiple Postal Try Ons in a single order to compare styles or sizes (subject to availability).
Can I use a try-on as my actual rental?
Postal Try Ons are for fit and style checks only, not for event wear. You’ll need to complete a new booking for your event date once you’ve chosen your favourite.
Is the cost refundable if I decide to rent the same dress?
Unfortunately not for postal try ons as the try on cost is already at a discounted rate.
